Türkiye education set new regulations for schools
In a press conference, the Minister of National Education of Türkiye announced the application of new regulations in the new academic year. Among these regulations are the repetition of basic for high school courses and strict attendance at school.
According to Hurriyet newspaper, on Friday, August 18, Turkish Minister of National Education Yusef Tekin said in a press conference in Ankara that, along with the implementation of these new regulations, we will deal seriously with illegal educational institutions that emerged after the Corona period.
According to the announcement of Yusuf Tekin, the Minister of National Education of Turkey, in the coming academic year, there will be a special monitoring on the grading of students and their attendance. He also said that repeating the basic course (reading the passed course again if the required grades are not obtained) will be implemented for high schools this year.
Takin also pointed out that during the epidemic period, there was little strictness regarding the absence of students in classes and added: This year there will be no compromise regarding absences in classes and grades. If the students have more than the allowed absence or do not get the quorum of the final grades, they will be dealt with according to the regulations.
In this meeting, he stressed, “I want to tell you once again about absenteeism that our children should not expect amnesty or anything like that at the end of the next school year. We are very serious about absences and course renewals. “I will warn my friends from now on so that we don’t face problems later.”
