Renewing driver’s license and Registering Vehicles in Dubai
Some drivers can now renew their driving licenses and register their vehicles through their smartphones. The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced this on Tuesday, July 2.
Samsung smartphone users can now add their vehicle registration information and driving license directly to their Samsung Wallet via the RTA app. The RTA released a new version of its official app in May, making access to its services simpler and more convenient for users.
The RTA noted that “this integration eliminates the need for multiple apps and provides a central platform for managing important transportation-related documents.”
The new version of the RTA app features a personalized dashboard that consolidates services into one page, allowing users to access them easily and without hassle.
This integrated solution provides a single window for easier vehicle license renewal, driving license renewal, and parking ticket purchases.
In October of last year, the RTA introduced the nolPay digital payment system for Samsung users who use Dubai Metro or any public transport in the city.
Users can pay for transportation with their smartphones or smartwatches. The digital nol card can also be used in some stores, supermarkets, public parks, museums, and more.
